Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation as well as a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in the year of 2016. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job in the production department with Univision in Miami and allowed her to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She was hired as a reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. Then, in 2009 the news reporter moved to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories about the trafficking of drugs and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas border, she was an anchor on the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 at 5 pm, a news reporter with a news anchor in English at 9 pm and then a news anchor for 10pm, before returning on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. Also, she was often requested to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She covered events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She was a host of sports on the morning show that is Despierta America Deportes. Also, she was a sports anchor on Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1985 in Mexico City. She also has an older sibling. She is the older sister. The couple divorced shortly after in 1995. Her mother remarried a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer in which she was provided with an opportunity to work. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would accomplish. It turned out that she loved the campus and the university offered the kind of program she was searching for. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the college. Her relationship lasted for a while with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a member. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
